With great sadness, we learned of Stephen's death on 6 September 2026. As an occasional writer in residence and appointed a board director in April 2025, Stephen was always generous with his time, wisdom and wit. He had many gifts including an uncanny ability to listen, to empathise, and to get to the heart of things. All at Annaghmakerrig send our deepest sympathy to Stephen's family, and like his many friends and colleagues, we will always be grateful for time well spent in Stephen's company.
