In addition to the glorious grounds and gardens of the Tyrone Guthrie Centre there are a number of other facilities to enhance your stay, which all guests can enjoy.

The Library

The library is available for all residents' use for reading. The book collection includes the original Annaghmakerrig library with volumes acquired by the Moorhead, Power and Guthrie families over a period of a hundred and fifty years. A Poetry Library is located outside Guthrie's Study and books are shelved according by author and/or editor. Very occasionally the Library is booked for visitors or group meetings. Guest may gather here after dinner to chat, read and exchange work and offer each other  feedback.

Drawing Room

The drawing room is light bright room suitable for reading, meeting and exchanging ideas. This is available for all residents' use, and is often used for collaborations, readings and talks.  Apart from the many books in the drawing room there is also  Lady Guthrie’s Obermeier grand piano.

Dedicated Studios

In addition to the rooms in the Big House, each of which has a writing desk and a chair, we have a number of different studios that provide specialist facilities for particular artforms including visual art, printmaking, film, music, dance and performance.
