Returning Residents and Bursary Holders are welcomed back to the Tyrone Guthrie Centre. Please complete the Returning Residents application form. Where we ask you for dates that would suit you, we suggest you include some options six or even twelve months ahead to increase the options we can offer you.

2026 applications open
For bookings, 2026 is a 50-week year and the Centre will open on Monday 5 January 2026 and close on Saturday 19 December 2026.

Duration
With such high demand, we encourage you to request a stay of a week or a maximum stay two weeks in the year so we can offer residencies to more artists.

Artists in Ireland, Northern Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales, and European
One or maximum two-weeks residency per artist in the 2026 calendar year. This two weeks per annum limit excludes short notice cancellations offered to the Artists by the Centre.

International Artists
One or maximum of two-weeks residency per artist in the 2026 calendar year.

Longer stays
Given the cost and time involved in travelling to Annaghmakerrig especially from international locations, we appreciate that some residents would prefer a longer stay. We will do our best to accommodate international artists looking to book one longer residency of three weeks in two calendar years, starting with 2026-2027 period.

Payment
When your dates are confirmed, you will receive an invoice and fees should be paid in full via bank transfer a month before your arrival date. Charges may apply to cancellations close to your residency dates.

Cancellations
If you have to cancel your residency, please email info@tyroneguthrie.ie as soon as you know and we will work with you to accommodate your change of plan.

I attended two residencies at The Tyrone Guthrie Centre and completed my memoir, Fractured, there…many thanks for being able to work and stay at this remarkable place.

Susan Mockler - Author

I cherish the time I spent in a number of residencies at The Tyrone Guthrie Centre. As a budding composer, having the freedom and space to focus on my craft helped me to find my voice within the contemporary Irish traditional music landscape.
