We are delighted to announce that the winner of The Tyrone Guthrie Centre Anita Young Bursary for a Mid-Career Painter 2023, in association with the RHA, is Maggie Morrison, for her painting titled January in the Botanic Gardens.

Maggie's painting was selected as the winner from among the exhibitors at the annual RHA exhibition 2023. Her award is a two week residency in our Big House at The Tyrone Guthrie Centre, fully catered, with visual art studio, and a travel stipend from the RHA.

We warmly congratulate Maggie, and we look forward to welcoming her.

The Anita Young Bursary for a Mid-Career Painter is made possible through a bequest to The Tyrone Guthrie Centre from visual artist, Anita Young.

It is of note that the RHA is celebrating its 200th anniversary this year. We would like to warmly congratulate the RHA on its anniversary, and to further congratulate all artists exhibiting in the RHA this year, and especially those who have been resident with us over the last forty odd years.
