Karen Daye-Hutchinson - inaugural winner of the Anita Young Bursary, for a mid-career painter in association with RUA

We are delighted to announce that the winner of our inaugural Anita Young Bursary for a mid-career painter in association with Royal Ulster Academy and Tyrone Guthrie Centre Annaghmakerrig is Karen Daye-Hutchinson ARUA, for her work titled 'Layers of time you can not divide ' (oil on paper, etching). Karen's work was chosen as the winner for her creative use of mixed media.

Karen Daye-Hutchinson joins Diarmuid Breen as our inaugural winners of the Anita Young Bursary (2021/22) in association with the RUA and the RHA, made possible through a bequest made by visual artist, Anita Young,  to Tyrone Guthrie Centre Annaghmakerrig.

We look forward to welcoming both artists for their two week residencies with in our Big House, with use of a visual arts studio, in 2022.
