Farmyard Cottages

The five unique cottages situated in the farmyard are self-catering but artists are invited to dinner once a week in the Big House with prior arrangement. Residents in the cottages are welcome to use the facilities in the house and help themselves to tea and coffee at any time. Each cottage has a living room/workspace, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. Couples can stay in the cottages but must apply individually for a residency. One of the cottages has two bedrooms; it is adapted for use for artists with disabilities and is wheelchair accessible.

A purpose-built apartment beside the Big House next to the kitchen is also suitable for artists with disabilities. It has a carer’s room next door and a motorized buggy available for use. The artist staying here is very much part of the Big House experience having access to the internet, the library, drawing room and studios.

A selection of seasonal vegetables is available for purchase from the cottage garden. The kitchens are outfitted for basic cooking, linen and laundry facilities are also provided.
